SLR is the abbreviation for Satellite Laser Ranging. In contrast to GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems), the SLR community is a small group of institutions involved in collecting data, processing the observations, or combining and analyzing the products. These activities are coordinated by the International Laser Ranging Service (ILRS).
